Forex Simulator Benefits
You can increase simulation speed almost without limits. Home page says about "600 times" but you can enter any other values in settings, as you like. The same is true for overall interface speed. No matter how fast is your simulation, the interface will always remain fast and responsive.
Backtesting speed depends not only on the simulation speed itself. Clean, easy and responsive interface, where each and every pixel counts, makes your work much more effective and fun. User experience is on top of any feature or technology.
Maximum download speed from a number of servers at the same time, hot keys and mouse settings. A number of detailed settings enable you to experience really convenient simulation and trading.
The author is addicted to usability, you will feel it immediately after you launch the product for the very first time. If something seems uncomfortable, just ask and you will get what you need in few hours.
There are no "trifles", there are "details", that's all you need about the author's mindset. There are plenty of hard work and hours of polishing behind every feature that seems easy on the surface.
Rapid Product Development
Current version of the product took me about 3-4 months, 12 hours a day on average. Most of this time were invested into experiments with interface design, optimizing algorithms and polishing usability. You can imagine what will happen with the product in a year... or in the next 5-10 years.
I don't like to announce features, but just be sure that backlog of great ideas is enough to keep me busy until the end of my life :)
I immediately implement user-generated ideas, keeping product simple and straightforward at the same time. All bugs get fixed immediately due to the built-in automatic bug reporting system. You may not even notice it, but when you occasionally face a bug report, you will never see it again.
Perfect for manual backtesting
I don't believe in trading robots. I believe that human+computer will always win against the computer alone. It means that instead of trying to build yet another trading robot (which isn't hard for me), I focused on building weapons for humans. The product ideally fits human traders, those who are "anti-backtesting" in their nature.
You should notice that "manual" doesn't mean "slow". Forex Simulator proves that human can become almost as effective in backtesting as an algorithm does.
I also plan to add automated backtesting in the future, but not as a feature for software developers but as an assistance for human traders. There are plenty of ready-to-use automated backtesting tools on the market, I don't want to waste my time there.
